Royce
Lowe is a qualified metallurgical engineer
and for many years worked as such in the
steel business in both the UK and Canada,
later adding sales and purchasing
experience. During this time he authored two
technical articles on stainless steel wire
for the U.S. magazine ‘Wire and Wire
Products’.
He qualified as a translator from the McGill
University programme in 1981. Since that
time he has translated on a part-time and
full-time basis, specialising in metallurgy
and other branches of engineering and
marketing: in fact anything not too
esoteric.
For ten years Royce wrote a monthly article
for Steel Marketplace magazine in Ontario,
describing his career as a metallurgist,
writing about steel in a way that appealed
to the non-technical members of the steel
community, and latterly of his experiences
in China and India as an English Teacher.
He lives in Languedoc Roussillon in the
South of France. |
